Wardens Helping in Prevention

WELCOME

Welcome to the cyber space home of the Weiser Forest Fire Wardens Association.  This site has been created for the dedicated individuals who give of themselves so selflessly to protect our forests from the ravages of wildfires.  Long hours of hard work in some of the toughest conditions and lets not forget that a backpack tank is never empty going UP-hill.  This site is for you, the Forest Fire Wardens and Crews of the Weiser State Forest.

NEW Help Wanted posted on EVENTS page!!!

Fire Danger shown above is representative of the highest FORECAST Fire Danger in Weiser State Forest District 18.  Actual Fire Danger in your area could vary slightly.

Last Updated: No Further Updates Until Fall

Fire Danger Forecast Discussion

The forest has greened up sufficiently to say it is unlikely we will see any serious wildfires now until Autumn.  This is definitely the earliest green-up we have seen in many years, but I am not complaining.  Remember, just because things are green, it doesn't mean there cannot be wildfires.  They are however less likely and of low intensity so common sense precautions are still necessary to prevent outdoor fires from escaping into the woods.  Updates will resume in Fall should the need arise, until then have a fun and safe Summer.
